The doctor asks the patient a series of questions about their episodes. The app uses two proprietary algorithms, one to determine the probability of episodes being due to epilepsy, and the second to give a probability of the episodes being focal. It determines the likelihood of episodes being provoked seizures, records investigations performed, current anti-seizure medication. It records drug adherence, side-effects, previous drug reactions, and currently available anti-seizure medication. It generates a summary which can be messaged to a more experienced doctor and suggests individualised appropriate treatment.
