About this app

Control SHIELD TV with an Amazon Echo device.

GETTING STARTED
1. Add a SHIELD account on your SHIELD TV (Settings > Accounts > Add Account > SHIELD). Your SHIELD account uses the same credentials as your NVIDIA account.
2. Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and enable the “NVIDIA SHIELD TV” skill.
Note: As part of the skill enablement, you will be asked to link your skill with your NVIDIA account. Make sure to use the same account from Step 1.

When talking to Alexa, refer to your SHIELD TV by the device name. The default device name is “SHIELD”. You can view or change the device name on your SHIELD TV by going to Settings > About > Device name.

Just tried to set this up in the UK and it just plain doesn't work. The Alexa app fails to detect the Shield TV after linking with the Nvidia account on the device. Totally hopeless. Don't waste your time Update: Apparently Nvidia released an update on 08/12/2020 but its still not available in the UK play store and we can't update beyond the August 2020 version. Still hopeless.

Using Alexa devices whilst living in Australia, means we can't install the Nvidia Shield TV Alexa skill because Nvidia have chosen to not publish it to AU customers, so this app is completely useless to me.

Since the upgrade of Nvidia shield tv firmware ,the Nvidia shield skill is not working at all.Please do something about this.Show some respect for your clients.
