I want to read articles in The Herald app that I have installed, but I am locked out and advised to open a subscription to The Listener. I have been a subscriber to The Listener for more than 6 years, but cannot access The Herald articles. I've written to both paper and magazine several times but have never received an answer. If I am locked out of reading an article, I just move on and find something else that isn't so precious.

Absolute garbage. Had a premium subscription and still got adverts so let lapse. The app has gotten so bad thats it's virtually unusable as articles require either Premium subscription and even them. Even then you still need additional subscriptions to view articles for the business desk and a sub for The Listener and a sub to Viva. Very biased reporting and ofen missing key facts or simply copy/paste of NY Times articles

Articles never open on one touch. I have to thump around on the screen trying to get the Article to open. When I exit the app and reopen like a week later it's still on the article that I was last in. Why does it not refresh and return to the home screen? Better off using web page.

What’s new

Version 7.3.2 addresses an issue specific to iPads running iOS 26.1 or higher. The implemented fix will retain your position on the homepage after entering and exiting an article. We appreciate your continued support and feedback.
