One more bureacratic challkenge. I think there are those at the building department that don't have much to do other than to create further challenges for homeowners, architects, engineers and contractors. I submit that many, many people are not taking out permits because of all the forms, policies, procedures, fees, limited help

I don't appreciate being forced to use a phone app to do my job. My employer is not going to provide cell phones just to schedule Oakland inspections, so I'm forced to use my PERSONAL phone. Who knows what kind of data I consented to sharing by downloading the app

I attemptedto use this app to schedule an inspection. I tried multiple dates and each time it told me the inspection could not be scheduled through the app and to instead call the building department.
