About this app

The OpenBarbell app is more than just a companion to your device, it's your new training journal. OpenBarbell automatically logs sets and reps along with deeply insightful training metrics.

You can see all your workout data including average velocity, peak velocity, peak height, range of motion, and duration, as well as time between sets and number of reps. You can add context to your sets, like tags describing exercise variations or unique attributes, training videos and video logs, and RPE. You can view analysis of your data through advanced metrics like peak end of a metric in a set, absolute loss of a metric in a set, and your estimated one rep max.

The OpenBarbell device and app are open source for anybody who wants to contribute! Just go to the Squats and Science Labs page on Github. If you'd like to see features in the OpenBarbell app, please contact us to collaborate on future releases.

Good app. Love that cloud storage was added. Would be nice if the history was available via your computer rather than just the app. Perhaps customize where it is stored (Google account, Dropbox, etc). EDIT: add auto save. If you don't end workout in app, data is lost.

V1.1 is a definite improvement with the history feature. But where is my data being stored in the cloud and how do I access it? Something like export as cvs, or a similar feature in the next update please!

Finally, it works on my android. Getting tired of using my work iPhone. But the app needs to log the data somewhere so I can tabulate and visualize it.
