Digital field notebook developed for researchers, students, biologists, ecologists, botanists, zoologists, and environmental monitors who need to record biodiversity data in a simple, organized, and offline way.
The application brings together in one place the creation of projects, field expeditions, biological occurrences, GPS coordinates, trails, photos, audios, and notes. The goal is to facilitate the routine of those who work in the field, reducing dependence on improvised spreadsheets, loose notes, and media files disconnected from scientific records.
Each occurrence can be recorded with taxonomic data, location, observations, media, and custom fields. The app was designed to work in simple or advanced mode, allowing the form to be adapted for fauna, flora, fungi, and different types of inventory or monitoring.
The data is organized internally based on the Darwin Core standard, but without requiring the user to know the technical terms. In practice, the researcher records the information in a user-friendly interface, while Oikos prepares the data for scientific export.
