This is a little app I built because my mates and I kept sending each other photos on WhatsApp and losing them forever in the scroll.
The idea is dead simple. Someone picks a theme: "golden hour", "something blue", "the most questionable thing in your fridge", sets a deadline, and everyone has until then to take a photo and post it. When the deadline hits you can vote on your favourite, or just leave a heart on the ones you love, and the whole challenge gets archived so you can scroll back through it a year later and go "oh yeah, that was the week Jim was obsessed with that pigeon."
Groups are private. No strangers, no discovery page, no algorithm shoving random people's lunches at you. Just you and the friends you've invited. There's group chat and DMs built in, so you don't have to bounce back out to WhatsApp to talk about the photos you just took, plus reactions, polls, and a share-sheet shortcut so you can send a shot straight in from your camera roll. When a challenge wraps up, the app builds a little recap poster you can keep or share.
No ads. No trackers. No selling your data. EXIF is stripped from every upload (if you don't know what that means, it just means your photos don't quietly leak the GPS coordinates of your house). Servers are in the UK. You can delete your account from inside the app, either straight away or with a 30-day grace window in case you change your mind.
I'm a photographer. This is a side project, not a startup. Happy for you to be here.
Sam
