Much better for browsing than the regular Overdrive app. Clicking through various categories feels more intuitive, and being able to store multiple library cards and flip between them is very useful. I read books on my Kindle, not the app, so I can't speak to those features. The only thing it seems to be lacking is the ability to recommend books for purchase or add items to your wishlist. Although you can tag books even if you haven't checked them out, so maybe that's in lieu of having a wishlist. Edit: the FAQ says both of those features are being worked on. I also just noticed you can change Libby's skin tone. That seems like a small thing, but it's actually comforting for those of us who always have to use Caucasian emoji for everything by default. Much respect.
I am in love. This app is still being heavily improved upon, but it certainly is delightful. I'm able to connect two library cards (or more), and read them in the same place. Syncing reading spots and checkouts between devices, though I haven't been able to carry tags between devices. If I want to find a certain book again, tags allow me to find them in my tagged stories. If I'm reading, the icon on my homescreen shows Libby's head hiding behind her book cover. The search option is still very confusing though, I've been scrolling far down for categories in my library, which is different from OverDrive itself. There is much to be improved upon, but I'm loving this app.
Definitely better than Overdrive. Easier and more intuitive when logging in, searching and checking out books. It's also more visually appealing. There are a few hiccups, but not enough to stop me from using it. Will be deleting Overdrive and sticking with this one.
At first I wasn't a fan, but now it's my preferred app. I was loyal to Overdrive but Libby impressed me and now I will use it exclusively. The one thing I miss from Overdrive is the wishlist option but I am just using tags right now. I can live with the tags option but it kind of sucks that I have to manually tag all my wishlist items from Overdrive. The app is constantly being updated so it may be added later.
Worked the first time but the second time I opened it I got a white screen. Tried restarting my phone opened the app again and the same thing. I really wanted to like this app.
It crashes my phone sometimes and starts from different screens sometimes, which is a bit annoying. But I'm sure it's going to get better. I like its layout and function better than original overdrive. Integrates my library's data into their uniform layout very well.
