About this game

Farkle - also played as 10,000 or Zonk - is a push-your-luck dice game for six dice. Throw, set aside the dice that score, then decide: bank the points or throw again and lose the lot if nothing scores. This version plays against a computer opponent on your own device and needs no connection once installed.

EVERY ROLL, EXPLAINED IN WORDS
You do not have to memorise the scoring table. After each throw the game writes out what the dice are worth as a sentence - "three 5s = 500, single 1 = 100 (600 in total)" - and again for whatever you decide to keep. A seven-step interactive walkthrough teaches the whole game with real dice and real scoring, and a rules reference with a house-rule glossary is one tap away.

THE ODDS, ON SCREEN
Before you throw, a coach line shows the chance of a farkle with the dice you have left and what another throw is worth on average: "3 dice next - farkle 27.8% - rolling is worth -24". Those figures are counted from every possible throw under the rules you have set, so they move when your rules move. You can switch the coach off.

YOUR TABLE'S RULES
Farkle has no official rulebook - families score it differently. A first-run wizard asks four questions, and the house rules screen keeps seven switches: opening score, target score, straight, three pairs, four/five/six of a kind, hot dice and the three-farkles penalty. Each switch explains what it does to the score.

WHERE THE ADS ARE
A full screen ad can appear at one moment only: after a whole game has been won or lost, on the way to the next one. Never between turns, never mid-roll, never in the walkthrough. Banners stay on the menu screens - the dice table has none. There are no coins, no chips, no energy meters and nothing to buy.

DICE YOU CAN CHECK
Every game shows the seed its dice are drawn from, and the roll stats screen counts each die the game has thrown - yours and the computer's - next to the expected figures. Difficulty changes when the computer banks, never the dice.

PLAYING
- Two players: you against the computer, at three strengths
- Six dice, target 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000, with a last round
- Large dice and large numbers by default, adjustable
- Works in airplane mode. No account and no sign-up
