You walk into a hotel room. The passport goes in the safe, the charger goes by the bed, the medicine goes in the fridge, and your child's watch ends up in the bathroom.

Two days later you are checking out in a hurry, and the only thing standing between you and a lost passport is your memory.

Before I Leave fixes that one problem.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Start a session for the place you are in: a hotel, a clinic, a rental car, a borrowed office, a friend's house.
2. As you put things down, note each one in a few seconds: what it is, and where you put it.
3. When you are ready to go, tap "I'm leaving".
4. You get a checklist of everything still out, with the place you left it. Tick each item as you collect it.
5. You cannot finish the session while an item is still pending.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT

This is not a to-do list and not a packing list. It is built around a place you are leaving.

- Every item remembers where you put it, so the checklist tells you where to look.
- The leaving checklist will not let you finish with items still pending.
- Left something on purpose? Mark it "left on purpose". It is recorded as a choice, not a mistake.
- Once everything is accounted for, a last check asks about the places you actually used, such as the safe, the drawer or under the bed.
- Adding an item takes seconds, because if it were slow you would not do it.

You are listing where your passport and your medicine are. That belongs to you alone.

- No account, no sign-up, no email address.
- No internet needed. The app has no server and sends your data nowhere.
- Stored in an encrypted database on your phone, with the key kept in the phone's secure keystore.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising ID.
- No location permission.
- Works fully offline, even in airplane mode.

ALSO INCLUDED

- History of past sessions, including what you left on purpose.
- Templates: save a session as a template, or reuse a past list, for the trip you make every month.
- Optional reminder before you leave, delivered as a notification on your phone.
- Optional photo for an item, from the camera or the system photo picker. The app does not get access to the rest of your gallery.
- Optional app lock with a PIN, plus fingerprint or face unlock where your phone supports it.
- Encrypted backup file, protected by a password you choose and saved wherever you like. It never passes through us.
- Full Arabic and English, with a proper right-to-left layout in Arabic.
