"Is Mum okay?" — the answer is in your pocket every morning.
Yakınım runs on two phones: the adult child who sets things up, and the parent who presses the daily buttons. The parent side has only three large buttons — no settings, no menus, nothing to learn.
ON THE PARENT'S PHONE
- I'm okay: pressed once a day. If it is not pressed, a gentle reminder appears at the chosen time; if there is still no response, the status card on the child's screen turns yellow.
- Call: pick one of the contacts entered in advance and the phone's dialler opens.
- Help: hold for three seconds, confirm; a message to the emergency contact is prepared; one tap opens the dialler. With permission, the current location is added to that message.
- Medication time: a reminder notification and a "Taken" button, based on the plan entered by the family. The reminder is shown full screen while the app is open.
ON THE CHILD'S PHONE
- A single status card: last "I'm okay", last phone use, battery (if low).
- A timeline of what happened and when.
- Medication plan, reminder times and emergency contacts.
- If the phone has not been used for 24 hours the status card turns red; if the battery is low it turns yellow.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
- No account, no e-mail, no password. Pairing uses a 6-character family code inside a 15-minute window.
- No ads. This is a trust product.
- Only events are transmitted: a timestamp and a type. Raw sensor data, location history and audio are never sent.
- Location is read only when Help is pressed, once, goes only into the message sent to the emergency contact, and is not stored anywhere.
- The app is free.
IMPORTANT
Yakınım is not a medical or emergency device; it does not replace emergency services. It does not measure health, diagnose, or give medical advice. Medication reminders follow only the plan entered by the family and do not check whether the medicine was taken. Reminders and the information on the status card depend on the phone being on, on notification permissions and on the operating system's battery restrictions.
