Pezana is a budgeting app built specifically for Ethiopia. Track your
spending across Telebirr, CBE, Awash, Dashen, and 13 other Ethiopian banks and mobile money services. Available in English and Amharic (አማርኛ) with more local languages coming soon.

AUTO-IMPORT BANK SMS
Pezana reads transaction SMS from a hardcoded allow list of 17 Ethiopian financial senders: Telebirr, CBE Birr, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Awash Bank, Dashen Bank, Bank of Abyssinia, NIB International, Zemen, Bunna, Lion, Coop Bank of Oromia, Wegagen, Berhan, Abay, Oromia International, Enat, and Addis International. SMS is parsed entirely on your phone. Raw message content never leaves your device. Only the structured transaction (amount, merchant, direction) is saved — and only after you confirm.


SCAN RECEIPTS
Snap a photo of your receipt. Pezana reads the total amount, merchant name, transaction date, and individual line items — even bilingual Amharic + English receipts. Works with popular Ethiopian receipt formats.

ETHIOPIAN CALENDAR & CURRENCY
Your finances shown in the Ethiopian calendar — Meskerem, Tikimt, Hidar, and so on. All amounts in Ethiopian Birr (ብር). Monthly summaries align with Ethiopian month boundaries, not Gregorian.

SMART BUDGETS & ALERTS
Set monthly budgets by category. Get gentle push notifications when you approach 80% of any limit, never surprises. Weekly and monthly summary notifications recap your spending patterns automatically.
