About this app

Photopette is the companion app for the Photopette handheld photometer from Tip Biosystems. Connect a compatible instrument to your Android phone or tablet over Bluetooth Low Energy, select a measurement workflow, collect readings, and organize results in one place.

Designed for laboratory and field workflows
• Connect to Photopette Bio and Photopette Cell instruments
• Work with supported wavelengths of 260, 280, 340, 570, and 600 nm, depending on your instrument
• Run supported DNA, RNA, protein, enzymatic assay, turbidity, cell-density, Bradford assay, and other measurement workflows
• Perform auto-zero, measurements, instrument self-tests, and firmware updates
• Organize results in datasets with timestamps and notes
• Add photos and optional location information when useful
• Export selected datasets through Android sharing options
• Use the app in multiple supported languages

Privacy by design
Photopette does not require an account and includes no advertising or analytics. Measurement data is stored locally on your device. Information leaves the app only when you choose to share or export it.

A compatible Photopette instrument is required for measurements. Available wavelengths and measurement types depend on the connected Photopette model. Follow your laboratory procedures and the instrument documentation when interpreting results.
