The Recharge app is designed to help caregivers of someone with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia to improve their overall mood, reduce stress, alleviate depression, and improve quality of life.
The Recharge curriculum is based on research by Photozig, Inc. and Stanford University, with the incorporation of new behavioral strategies to foster constructive activities, reinforce an environment with healthy behaviors, and encourage pleasant events.
We hope that our Recharge Behavioral curriculum will motivate caregivers to identify relevant interests, recall life values, discover new possibilities, plan personalized actions, and engage more with positive experiences.
The Caring Project is conducting a research study to evaluate the Recharge program, which is part of our effort of developing new resources for caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia.
• Are you a caregiver of an individual with dementia?
• Would you like to learn how to alleviate stress?
This is a self-paced program (no face-to-face meetings, appointments, etc), and participants can live anywhere in the US. If this program is not helpful to you, please forward this information to someone who can benefit from this free service.
The goals of our project are: (1) to evaluate materials related to dementia and how to reduce stress; (2) to study dissemination of information about dementia caregiving; and (3) to develop new resources to enhance the quality of life.
