Sadly, the app no longer allows you to log-in without a paid subscription. Although the recent changes to the Reddit API are the cause. Its still a painfull decision the remove that basic option from the app for people whom had allready purchased the previous version of the app. So i now have to review the app based on how it looks without a subscription. Unreadable.

Actually, unlike other apps, you can still use this app to browse reddit without a subscription. I realize this is not the same as logging in but it's a feature that's available. I understand you're disappointed but it's a situation I could not avoid.

Doesn't remember that I've subscribed and sometimes won't restore my subscription. The developer is responsive, but this has been an issue for awhile now. It was a great app before. hopefully this issue will be resolved.

Update: Dev provided same copy/paste response without addressing why we're unable to provide our own API key to circumvent the reddit policy change. Changed back to 5 stars because the app itself is fantastic. But I'm not paying a subscription for something I can access via old.reddit Original review: == Was great for years. Paid for the premium version w/o ads. New version requires monthly subscription w/o any option to input personal api key to circumvent the new reddit policy.

Hi, the announcement within the app explains why subscriptions have been introduced. This is NOT a change I wanted to make, rather, had to make. Reddit has begun charging me so each time you use the app it costs me money. I can't offer the app for free as I would have a huge bill to pay which I cannot afford. I hope that helps explain the change.
