About this app

Pidge is built exclusively for Cambridge students. No randoms from Oxf*rd, no bots: just people at the university, verified. Use it to date, to swap formal halls, or both.

DATING, WITHOUT THE ENDLESS SCROLL
Every day Pidge puts 9 people in your pigeonhole. Pidge the ones you like. You only match, and only chat, when it goes both ways, so there are no unsolicited messages and no noise.

Chats last 48 hours. Say something, make a plan, or let it go. It's designed to get you off your phone and into a pub, not to collect matches you'll never talk to.

Want to keep your own college out of it? One switch, and nobody from your college sees you or shows up for you.

FORMAL SWAPS
Ever wanted to try formal at Trinity, King's or Pembroke? Now you can.
• Host: offer a spot at your college's formal. Set the date, dress code and how many guests you can bring.
• Visit: browse formals at other colleges and ask to come along.
• Sort the details in a chat (date, time, price and party size), then book with one tap.
• Dietary requirements go to your host when you book, so there's no awkward "sorry, it's the fish" on the night.

Formals run on visits. You start with one, you spend one each time you're booked in somewhere, and you earn one back every time you host. Fair for everyone, and hosting is how you keep going out.

Not looking to date? Switch Dating off and just use Pidge for formals.

VERIFIED, PROPERLY
Every account needs a Cambridge email address and passes a photo ID check before it can see anyone or be seen. Everyone on Pidge is a real Cambridge student, and over 18.

SAFE BY DESIGN
Block or report anyone from their profile or a chat, and every report is reviewed. Notifications never show names, photos or messages on your lock screen.
