About this app

Phone is a clean, fast dialer that does its job entirely on your device.

There is no account to create, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics. Phone does not request the Internet permission at all, so it has no way to send your numbers, your call history or your contacts anywhere — not to us, not to anyone.

Calls, the way they should be • Fast dialpad with smart search across your contacts • Call history grouped by day, with the SIM each call used • Contacts and favourites, one tap from the dialpad • Full-screen incoming calls, with the option of Answer and Decline buttons instead of swiping • Block a number in two taps

Speed dial that actually dials Assign a contact to any dialpad key from 2 to 9 and press and hold to call them. The way phones used to work, back when it took one hand.

Settings that respect you • Start on the dialpad instead of the last tab you used • Ask before dialling, so a pocket touch never places a call • Answer with buttons instead of the swipe gesture • Ignore the proximity sensor, for handsets whose sensor misreads and blanks the screen

Designed to be looked at Material 3 throughout, with a palette built from a single colour and a proper dark theme that follows your system setting. Roomy lists, a keypad with real keys, and type that respects your font-size setting.

Built to be checked, not trusted Phone is open source and ships without code obfuscation, so anyone can read what it does and confirm it matches what is published. The full list of open-source components and their licences is bundled inside the app, and so is the privacy policy — both readable offline, under Settings › About.

Phone asks only for what a dialer needs: phone, call log, contacts and notifications. It does not ask to send messages, to record audio, to run at boot, or to use your location or storage. Twelve permissions in total.

The interface is Material 3 throughout, with a real dark theme that follows your system setting.

What’s new

New Feature: Advanced Blocking. Each blocked number now has its own config: reject the call, silence the ringer, hide it from call history, or skip the missed-call notification.

• Block a number or a whole prefix before it ever calls you, plus an always-allow list
• Ring only for people in your contacts
• Blocked calls now appear in call history, with new call-type filters
• Search call history, not just contacts
• Call or share a contact from the list
