About this game

It’s a bass fishing game from a birds-eye view!

And it’s a fishing game with new lakes to explore and fish, plus new fishing lures to try every day!

Bass Tourney Challenger starts out very easy and casual at Level 1. At this level in the fishing game you’re standing on a dock and you simply tap where you want to cast, tap and hold to reel in. Catch a few bass and you’ll qualify for bass tournaments. In a bass tournament you’re fishing against other real players recent results. Do well and you’ll advance to Level 2.

Level 2 gets you your first boat, and one of the most unique features of this fishing game: new lakes to explore every day. As you advance to higher and higher game levels, you gradually unlock more features and additional challenges. Your first fishing boat is pretty small, slow and basic, but if you do well in the tourneys you’ll earn an upgrade before long. Keep working your way up and you’ll find boats with trolling motors or shallow water anchors, and sonar fish locators from old-school to cutting edge live fish tracking. The bass fishing gets more and more fun as the game keeps adding features each time you advance to a higher game level.

And the boats in this fishing game get much, much faster. That’s a good thing, because the lakes you’re fishing get bigger. So do the bass.

Advancing in game levels gives you more control over how you work your lures, and how you scan the area for hungry bass. Even the fishing rods and lures get better.

Higher game levels also bring new challenges. At early levels you can’t hurt your boat by crashing it, but rise high enough and the stakes get higher too. High level bass tournaments give you more fishing time, but also have more competitors fishing for that first place finish so the bass fishing action gets more intense.

Every game level has separate bass tournaments and a separate global leader board, so you’re always competing against people who are fishing on the same lakes, with the same level equipment, and the same features and challenges.

A new bass fishing lure for every game level arrives in the tackle shop in the game every 2 hours, and stays for just a day. The variety of lures is literally endless. Different types have realistic features. Some cast farther, some hook fish better, some avoid snags better, and some have more vibration to get noticed by fish from farther away. Check out the selection often and you’ll build a collection that will have you ready to fish whatever habitat you find as you explore new lakes every day.

In this fishing game, advancing to higher game levels is always optional. If you want to stick with casual fishing, you can stay at any level you enjoy, or even step back down levels. If you’re ready to be a top tier Bass Tourney Challenger, fish your way to Level 20!

In-app purchases are available to let you pick up some extra Bass Bux, the currency in the game, for shopping for bass fishing equipment upgrades. You can’t buy your way to the top, though. The only way to advance in levels is with the points you earn by fishing in tournaments.

This bass fishing game is free up to Level 10. Any in-app purchase removes the limit so you’re ready to fish your way up to the upper levels.

Awesome game!! From the developers of one of my other favorite mobile fishing games. I played this for maybe 20 minutes and I'm already in love. Made my first bassbux purchase immediately 😂😂. I cannot wait to watch this game grow and develop into something amazing. I really hope some aspects stay free to play (payed aspects help support the development of course). I have some suggestions as a fisherman myself, is their someone I can email?

Great game overall. I do have a few suggestions though. I agree with the previous requests of adding other species & challenges if possible. Also, being able to sell old equipment and lures would be a plus since they're rarely used after advancing levels. As far as reviews complaining about having to pay in order to advance... some people expect everything for free. Many others however have no problem paying a very reasonable price to play a game that's ad free and enjoyable.

Awesome game, has a lot of potential. My only complaint so far is the line tension mechanic, I'm on level 3 and it took my about 3 minutes to reel in a 19 inch fish. I bought better rods and lures and it doesnt help much. I'd love to have it a little more balanced so it doesn't take that long to get one fish in the boat. Other than that the game is great and I am having fun playing it.

Thanks for your review! At level 3 there's a wide range of line strength on the available rods. If you've got a rod with only 6 or 8 pound test, a chunky 19 inch bass could be a pretty tough fight. The other rod specs (casting range, action, etc) can be important, but I think it pays to prioritize line test to land fish fast.
