Granny's spare bed needs a quilt, and every patch of it is hidden behind a field of small numbers. In Pix Patch each number counts how many squares are stitched in the little block around it, and when every count is right a picture appears in true fabrics.
How to play
1. Look at a number. It tells you how many squares in the 3×3 block around it, itself included, are stitched. At the edge the block is smaller.
2. Start with zeros and nines. A 0 means nothing around it is stitched, and a 9 means the whole block is.
3. Pick Stitch and tap a square to sew it, or pick Pin (or hold a square) to mark it empty. Drag to stitch a straight run.
4. When a number already has all its stitches, pin the rest of its block. When the open squares match the stitches still missing, stitch them all.
5. Compare neighbors. Two numbers side by side share six squares, and what each still needs tells you about the rest.
Every patch hides exactly one picture, and you can reach it by deduction from the numbers alone, so you never need to guess.
Sixty patches make five quilts of twelve. The Farmhouse Quilt has apples, hens and a red barn, the Seaside Quilt boats, gulls and striped huts, the Kitchen Quilt teapots and cupcakes, the Garden Quilt bees, tulips and a sleeping cat, and the Winter Cabin Quilt ends with big 15×15 patches for long nights by the stove. Patches grow from 8×8 to 15×15, and six finished patches open the next one.
A Daily patch arrives each day, the same for every sewing room, 10×10 on weekdays and 12×12 at weekends, with a streak to keep. Finish without a snag, without a hint and under par for three ribbons. Buttons earned from every patch buy six threads and five backing cloths in the Basket, and the Quilt Wall hangs each one as it fills up, next to 17 awards.
Pix Patch plays fully offline, with no login, no adverts and nothing to buy.
The kettle is on and the first apple patch is pinned out. Shall we start sewing?
