## Who we are?
- Planet Tax Free LLC is the exclusive Operator of the Tourist Refund Scheme, authorised by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) of the UAE. The FTA launched the Tourist Refund Scheme in November 2018 following the introduction of 5% VAT in January 2018. Please visit www.planetpayment.ae for more details.

## What is Tax Free Shopping?
- While on your holiday in the UAE you can get a refund for the Value Added Tax (VAT) you paid on your retail shopping. To get your refund, you just need to show your purchases and get them validated when you leave the country. It's a way to save some money while enjoying your shopping experience in the UAE.

## Who is eligible?
- VAT refunds in the UAE are available to overseas tourists aged 18 and above. An 'overseas tourist' refers to anyone who isn't a resident of the UAE or any of the Implementing States, and isn't part of a flight or ship crew leaving the UAE.

zero stars. Like everyone else, you cannot sign up or sign on through the app. Other options presented to sign on are apple, Google, and Meta however none of those work either. they say "coming soon". Articles say that Planet introduced the app in 2024 to make things easier and faster. Total lie. I wouldn't shop at places that process through Planet. Global Blue was so much easier.

Extremely frustrating. I have been trying to sign up on the app for more than 45 mins. The app doesn't recognise the passport details or the scan. I hope the app developers can resolve this issue.

Very frustrating app – sign in and sign up both broken Tried using the app on both iOS and Android – neither the sign in nor sign up worked. No matter what I do, I keep getting errors like: • Invalid surname • Invalid travel document ID Tried both automatic and manual document scanning – always fails. This makes the entire VAT refund process unnecessarily complicated. Very poor user experience. Needs urgent fixing
