If you are after the off-line syncing capability look elsewhere for Android, as it is broken most of the time (check the plex android forums for numerous unanswered issues). Will stream content ok most of the time however the android experience as a whole is not worth the money and I regret my plex pass subscription.
This app is by the far the best I've used. Great layout, awesome importing of cover art and title descriptions. I use it with my Google chromecast and to cast to my Samsung smart tv (without additional hardware) this is a must for anyone with any type of digital home media. Plex supports so many file types it's hard not to love this app. So in all KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS! Not sure how this app can be improved, but I'm looking :-)
Great app for managing media from my computer to my mobile devices and TVs. This app works great, especially the mobile sync feature. Only gripe I have is the lack of gapless music playback. Many of the album's I listen to require gapless playback to truly experience it as the artist intended. Pretty disappointing seeing as I've pretty much dedicated myself to this program as I purchased a lifetime Plex Pass and there are free apps on the Play Store I could download that have gapless playback. All in all a good app!
Syncs TV shows and movies seemingly fine. Can go into airplane mode and they play. Get on an actual plane a week later and boom, plex can't find media, rendering this solution worthless . I got this and paid the subscription as part of my cable cutting - use tablo to record off air. So far, this hasn't done a good job of replacing direct genie go.
This app sucks on the Mi Box. My network is fine I never have any issues except with this app. It works fine and then randomly says playback has stopped because the connection was lost. If I use the older Plex app built into my Samsung smart TV, no issues. Streams original quality. It's this app, doesn't work right on the Mi Box.
Huge waste of money. I regret buying a lifetime Plex pass. Sync is often a disaster, and you have to babysit it closely. Any content I have synced to my tablet and then watch, does not update it's watched status when reconnecting to the server. If I watch 5 episodes of a series, I'm lucky to have the server update any one of them as watched. If I have to remember what I've watched, and manually update my offline viewable content, what's the point? Sync will also randomly change from external to internal storage, causing the synced files to get lost.
