Ratings and reviews

I love what the app is meant to do. Every time I see someone familiar, I look up their IMDb page. The reason for the 3 star review is for questionable changes. Before, the app would open up instantly. Now, it has a splash screen. Really? Not to mention the fact that I have to remind myself to wait because once I try to click on the search bar, I inadvertently click on an ad, trailer or whatever the heck decided to get in the way of the search bar. Please stop trying to make everything flashy.

it's a fine app, but what I find most annoying is that it works better if you don't log in. when you log in, the search suggestions are recommendations based on your ratings/activity. when logged out, it shows your search history, so when watching a show and wanting to look up different details episode after episode it is way more convenient.

IMDb used to be great but now it's been taken over by obnoxious ads and pop ups which don't help with all the app glitches. Over upon a time it was user focused, but now it feels like just another platform to shove advertisements in our faces. I only open the app to drop quick star ratings now, but even that has become a pain since the ratings will either not load or just disappear for no discernible reason. Currently working on moving my extensive ratings and watch lists over to a competitor
