About this game
Most block puzzles drop pieces on you. Updraft doesn't.
You sit at the bottom of the well with a launcher. Line up the shot, tap, and send the piece up into the stack. Fill a row and it clears. Miss, and the stack you have to shoot through gets a little taller.
It plays with one thumb, in one hand, in the gaps of a day.
— HOW IT PLAYS —
TAP TO FIRE. The launcher sweeps side to side. Tap when the aim lines up. That's the whole control scheme.
PICK YOUR PIECE. Three pieces wait in the queue and you can switch between them — but one of the three has to go up before the next arrives. There is always a play; the question is which one costs you least.
TURN BEFORE YOU FIRE. Rotate the piece while it is still on the launcher. Once it's flying, it's gone.
HOLD THE LINE. A new row pushes in on a timer. Clearing rows pushes back. Everything you do is buying time on that bar.
BANK A SAVE. Clear enough rows and you earn a save — the one thing standing between a bad shot and the end of the run.
