SeaOwl is an app that allows you to quickly and anonymously report threats observed in the maritime domain to the Operations Center. It's a global maritime citizen intelligence network for exchanging information about threats and suspicious activity at sea.
See a drifting container, abandoned equipment, a ship behaving suspiciously, or other suspicious activity, or any other object posing a threat to navigation? Have you noticed suspicious vessel behavior? SeaOwl allows you to report such an incident in seconds—directly from the ship, without unnecessary paperwork.
How it works:
📍 Select the incident and automatically attach the precise GPS coordinates
📷 Add a photo as visual documentation
📝 Briefly describe the situation and select the report type
🔒 Submit a report completely anonymously
Each report—along with a photo and coordinates—is sent to the Operations Center, where it is analyzed and incorporated into the threat assessment for the area. Your observations can help prevent a collision, accident, or incident at sea.
