About this app

EmkitAgent OEMConfig lets IT administrators configure Point Mobile Android devices from an EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management) console.

EmkitAgent follows the OEMConfig approach of Android Enterprise. Your EMM reads the app's managed configuration and shows it as a settings form. When you deploy a configuration, EmkitAgent applies the values on the device. When you change the configuration later, EmkitAgent applies the new values automatically.

IMPORTANT
• EmkitAgent works only on Point Mobile Android devices. It does not work on devices from other manufacturers.
• You need an EMM that supports Android Enterprise managed configurations.
• The app has no settings for end users. All configuration is done in the EMM console.

WHAT YOU CAN CONFIGURE
The managed configuration has 22 setting groups:

• Network & internet: Wi-Fi profiles with 802.1X EAP and certificates, WLAN detail settings, mobile network, APN, Ethernet, hotspot & tethering, data saver and VPN
• Connected devices: Bluetooth, NFC
• Apps: default apps, special app access
• Notifications: notification privacy, and sound, vibration and importance for app notification channels
• Battery: battery percentage, battery optimization, battery age threshold, power management
• Storage: storage manager
• Sound & vibration: volume, Do Not Disturb, ringtones, vibration & haptics
• Display: brightness, lock screen, appearance and other display controls
• Wallpaper
• Accessibility: screen readers, display, interaction controls, captions, audio
• Security, Privacy, Location, Safety and Passwords
• System: languages & input, gestures, date & time, multiple users, developer options
• Restriction: allow or block screenshots, factory reset, installing and uninstalling apps, quick settings, notification pulldown, camera, safe boot, mobile data and more
• EmSettings: Point Mobile settings such as keypad, display, battery & power and feature control
• Button: map hardware keys such as scan, PTT, function and volume keys to key codes, applications or custom intents
• Scanner Settings: scanner on/off, trigger mode, options, notification, wedge and symbologies
• OS Update: install an OS package from a download URL, optionally at a scheduled date and time and without user confirmation
• JSON script: apply settings with a configuration script in JSON format

Any option left as "Keep Current Option" does not change the current setting on the device.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Approve EmkitAgent OEMConfig in your EMM through managed Google Play.
2. Open its managed configuration in the EMM console and set the values you need.
3. Deploy the configuration to your devices. EmkitAgent applies it on each device.

Available settings depend on the device model and Android version.
