Comtrade Viewer is a free app for viewing fault records on your phone or tablet.
Open and analyze COMTRADE waveform files (.cfg + .dat, or the single-file .cff format from IEEE C37.111-2013), Beckwith OSC oscillography records, and ATP/EMTP PL4 simulation results — all in one app.
FEATURES
- Multi-channel plot with smooth pan and pinch-zoom
- Two cursors (A and B) with delta-time and cycle-count readouts at any selected frequency
- Per-channel scaling and auto-fit to the full record
- Channel rename and reorder
- Light, dark, and monochrome display modes
- Configurable cursor colors and handle positions
FILE FORMATS
- COMTRADE — CFG/DAT pair or single CFF file, ASCII or binary
- Beckwith OSC — oscillography files from Beckwith Electric relays
- ATP/EMTP PL4 — simulation output from the ATP/EMTP power-system transient program
GETTING STARTED
Tap one of the bundled sample records on the home screen to try the app immediately, or tap "Open Record" to load your own file. You can also open records directly from Gmail, Files, Drive, AirDrop equivalents, and any other app that lets you share a file.
SUPPORT
The Settings screen has an "Email support" button that bundles the currently loaded record into a zip and attaches it to a draft message. This is the fastest way to report a bug or ask a question — the developer can usually reproduce the issue immediately from the attached files.
