Look up. The app that helps parents put their phone down.
Be more present with your kids. Present Parent helps you put your phone down during family time.
Most parents already know they spend too much time on their phone. The problem isn’t awareness - it’s the habit of reaching for it without thinking.
Present Parent gently interrupts that habit so you can choose what matters.
How Present Parent Works:
1. Set your family time
Choose the times you want to be fully present - dinner, bath time, school runs, or weekend mornings.
2. Shield distracting apps
Social media, email, and news apps are automatically protected during family time.
3. Pause before opening
If you try to open a protected app, Present Parent asks:
“What’s pulling you away right now?”
After you answer, a short pause begins.
During the pause, your own words stay on screen - giving you a moment to decide if it’s really worth it.
Most of the time, the urge passes.
4. Reflect on your time
At the end of each session, you’ll see how long you stayed present and how many times you paused.
No judgement.
No guilt.
Just a simple reflection.
Why Parents Use Present Parent
Research shows children notice when their parents are distracted by their phones.
Even short interruptions during family time can affect attention, connection, and communication.

Present Parent isn’t about controlling your child’s screen time.
It’s about helping parents be more present.
Because the moments that matter most are happening right now.
Present Parent uses Android’s Accessibility Service to help you stay present during family time.
This allows the app to:
• Detect when you open selected apps (like social media or email)
• Display a pause screen before those apps open
Present Parent does not:
• Collect personal data
• Record keystrokes
• read messages or content
• track activity outside of your selected apps
All data stays on your device.
Accessibility access is only used to deliver the app’s core functionality and can be disabled at any time.
