Ratings and reviews

It's been kinda lame lately. It always asks if it's allowed to send notifications every time I open it (and the only option is 'I Agree'), and it randomly turns off the VPN. Also, the Optimal Location is never optimal anymore. For me, it chooses countries that are on the other side of the planet instead of the closest server near me, making my ping a lot higher than it should be.

Something Has Changed I've used PIA for close to 10 yrs. The app used to work flawlessly but is now unstable. Multiple disconnects, especially when initializing a connection. I'm quite certain it's an app issue because my pfsense router seems to maintain a stable connection to their servers. Also, the app needs to stop spamming notifications.

I've been very happy with PIA so far. Every time I've checked, I was utilizing their IP addresses, not my personal or public WIFI address. Other devices were also unable to "see" my equipment while connected to the VPN, which is as supposed to happen. I did have issues connecting to the VPN servers while temporarily at a location whose WIFI utilized a firewall, (which is not unusual, BTW..) but somehow, it managed to connect even during that stay. It took a few minutes to connect, is all.
