So far so good! I purchased the 2 year plan, 72% savings over regular price. I spend more on a single coffee, if you break the price down to a monthly charge. I've configured my Android phone, my wife's iPhone, and my Linux laptop to use their OpenVPN. The speeds are decent enough to watch Netflix and use Wi-Fi calling. I'm debating whether to just configure my whole network (router). I like that I can use the VPN over cellular data as well. Job well done.
NordVPN does not support IPv6 addresses and disabling IPv6 is not possible on Android. Not really "Best VPN app for Android makes it easy to access any sites or apps safely and privately, no matter where you are." if when running it always says "Possible IPv6 Leak Detected". Basically they're saying "Buy me (need subscription) to secure your phone", but when you buy and run it says "Oh by the way I'm not secure and it's not possible for you to be secure (unless you root)". Just crazy! Do some research first
Good VPN service and I'm happy for being protected online. I use it on Android and would like to get IPV6 support soon. Otherwise since my ISP provides IPV6 my IP gets leaked. I have to use manually IPV4 settings.
Giving back 5 stars ✨. After updating my phone to nougat and also reading that you made some changes to your servers after 13.1 for better battery 🔋 life I gave this app another try. Since than the battery drain problem changed a lot. Is much much better. Finally I can use NordVPN 24/7 and NOT running out of battery 🔋 during the day. It is still the first app on Android device for battery consumption but now it's not huge. At this point the app and the service on Android is working just fine without any issue.
Been using on android and Windows for a few days now and every function has been tried and tested without complaint. Get consistent speed checks at 30MB/s plus on some servers so can't even have a moan about that, very happy so far.
There are things which does not work... SmartPlay is not available on any of my devices, although everything is updated. The app is also not compatible with android TV for an unknown reason...
- Now Smart Play enabled by default, enjoy your favorite content!
- From now on if the user locale is set to US, LR, and MM distances are displayed in imperial units instead of them being metric for all.
