In the desert, the sun decides. In Oasling, you decide where the shade falls.
Oasling is a 3D desert colony builder where shade is the resource. The sun crosses the sky hour by hour and season by season, and every palm, sail and wall you place casts a real shadow. Where that shadow lands decides what grows, what stays cool and who stays.
BUILD WHERE THE SHADE WILL FALL
Plant date palms, stretch shade sails and raise mud walls, then watch their shadows sweep across the oasis through the day. The sun-hours lens shows how many hours of sun every tile gets before you build. Barley and melons want full sun, vegetables want half a day of it, and mint tea grows only in deep shade. Burrows want to be cool at noon. Every building has its own right place.
RAISE A COLONY OF OASLINGS
Meerkats work the day and fennec foxes work the night. Each one has a name and a knack. Dig wells, cisterns and channels, grow eight crops, keep bees, and store enough water and food for everyone. Read the forecast, because heatwaves, sandstorms, droughts and cold snaps are on their way, and a storm is no time to leave a sail spread.
A JOURNEY ACROSS FIVE REGIONS
25 years of goals take your colony through Palm Springs, Red Canyon, Singing Dunes, Salt Flats and High Plateau. Each region is one oasis that grows from year to year, with new buildings, harder weather and a landmark to raise. Trade with the caravans, choose their gifts, send expeditions into the sand, and plan a whole district as ghosts to see its combined shade before you build it.
