HexaFold — Abstract Strategy on a Hexagonal Board

HexaFold is a deep abstract strategy board game where every move can change the entire position.

Start with an empty hexagonal board and take turns placing or moving your stones. Build groups, split them apart, and carefully manage the number and position of your stones.

There are no dice, random cards, or luck-based events. The outcome depends entirely on your decisions.

🧠 Think Ahead

Every stone matters.

You can place your stone on any empty cell or move an existing stone along a straight line. But moving a stone comes with a strategic cost: it must leave its original group and create a new group smaller than the original one.

A single move can split a group into several parts and completely change the balance of the board.

⚫ Black vs White

Each player controls one color: Black or White.

Black moves first. Players then take turns making strategic decisions until the board is completely filled.

Watch the groups carefully, anticipate your opponent's plans, and look for opportunities to reshape the position in your favor.

The objective is surprisingly simple:

When the board is full, have fewer stones than your opponent.

There are no draws. Every game ends with a winner.
