Voice Note Keeper is a private, offline voice recorder built for the moments when a thought strikes and you can't afford to lose it. An idea, a reminder, a voice memo, a shopping list — captured in one motion and waiting when you need it.

── RECORDING ──
• Hold to record, release to stop
• Slide upward while recording to lock hands-free — lift your finger and it keeps going
• Slide left to cancel and discard without saving
• Screen stays on automatically so recording is never cut short
• Append new parts to an existing note — build on a thought over time
• Speak your note title instead of typing it

── TRANSCRIPTION ──
• Convert any recording to text with one tap — runs completely offline using Whisper AI
• Edit the transcript directly in the app; save, discard, or re-transcribe any time
• Auto-transcribe new recordings automatically after you save them
• Search across both note titles and transcript text — including voice search
• Supported languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Auto-detect
• Download the AI model once (245 MB, Wi-Fi recommended); no internet needed after that

── ORGANISATION ──
• Create your own categories and assign recordings to them
• Drag to reorder categories — the same order everywhere in the app
• Filter, sort, and search your recordings; your preferences are remembered
• Your last used category filter is restored when you reopen the app

── BACKUP & RESTORE ──
• Sign in with Google to back up to your own private Google Drive space
• Back up manually or set a schedule — Daily, Every 3 days, or Weekly
• Restore everything to a new phone or after reinstalling — recordings, categories, settings, and milestones all come back
• Your backup is stored privately and never appears in your regular Drive files

── PLAYBACK ──
• Hold your phone to your ear — audio switches to earpiece automatically, just like a call
• Adjust playback speed: 0.75×, 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, or 2×; your preference is saved

── MANAGING YOUR NOTES ──
• Long-press any recording to enter bulk-select mode — trash or restore multiple at once
• Nothing is permanently deleted until you choose — full Trash with restore support
• Auto-empty Trash after 7, 14, 30, or 60 days
• Transcripts travel through Trash and back — they are never lost during a restore
