The Wi-Fi remote uses Android TV and Google TV remote protocols. Your phone and TV must be on the same local network. Some routers, guest Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, mobile hotspots or device isolation settings may block discovery or connection. Bluetooth control depends on Android TV pairing support and may require confirmation on both phone and TV during first setup.
Chromecast features let you send selected photos, videos and local media to a compatible TV over the local network. Screen casting opens the Android system casting screen and depends on your phone, TV and network.
Compatibility note: ATV Remote is made for Android TV, Google TV and Android TV Box devices. Most Samsung TVs use Tizen and most LG Smart TVs use webOS, so they usually do not accept Android TV remote commands directly. If your Samsung or LG TV has a connected Android TV Box, Google TV streamer or Chromecast with Google TV, add that Android TV / Google TV device instead.
