This app has some problems. Tested my wifi soft ap with this app and also by creating a html5 speedtest server locally. the app can berly reach 160-170 mbps. if i use the browser i can reach 220-230 mbps. looking at task manager wifi addapter speeds match my browsers on the phones. both methods are tested on the same computer. so this app (or the server) has problems
This app does what it says it does and is fairly simple to use if you know a bit of networking. Checks the actual Wifi speed of a network. Found out my phone's 433Mbps Wifi connection actually transfers data at 300Mbps. PS: People giving bad ratings because they don't know what this app is for or how to use this app. This app is to check the Wifi speed between your Android device and a computer running the test server on the same network. This is not for checking your internet speed.
Excellent utility. Layout and design is a little clumsy here and there, but overall thumbs up. To others: If you can't get it to work, read the tutorial and use some common sense - you'll get it working if you do
Excellent app. The measured results are on par with another program that I use between PC's. The python server script is a welcome addition as I can leave it running on a headless Linux box and test on the fly it is nice to see a developer embrace Linux compatibility.
Personally really happy with this app. Not the most straightforward in use, so pretty good and covers (mostly) all platforms. Great job, keep it that way.
Exactly what I was looking for!! You might have to be a little computer savvy to use this but there is no other way around it. I was going to create my own test server for wifi testing so this app saved a lot of my time. Works 100% if you know what you are doing.
