About this app

Going somewhere with unreliable signal? FetchAhead lets you prepare the pages, files, feeds and other content you expect to need while you are still connected, then keep supported saved content organized and available from Offline Packs.

Build a pack for a trip, commute, study session, work project or any situation where connectivity may be limited. FetchAhead captures supported web content into durable offline representations, shows what is actually available offline, and keeps freshness separate from availability so an older saved copy does not suddenly become unusable just because it is stale.

PREPARE OFFLINE PACKS

Group saved content by situation instead of collecting disconnected bookmarks. Add pages, files, PDFs, images, feeds and supported public video files to packs you can return to later.

CAPTURE FROM ANDROID

Share supported links, text and files directly into FetchAhead or add content from inside the app. Captured web content can be normalized into a clean Reader view or preserved using another supported offline representation.

SMART SCOPE

Start with one page and expand the capture when you need more context. Smart Scope can prepare nearby pages, a relevant section, documentation structure, supported feed or collection while keeping the scope bounded and under your control.

KNOW WHAT WILL WORK OFFLINE

FetchAhead separates offline readiness from freshness. You can see whether content is actually stored locally and whether the saved copy may be out of date.

READ, SEARCH AND ORGANIZE

Open saved material in the offline Reader, search across supported captured content, and keep everything grouped into useful packs instead of hunting through downloads and browser tabs.

AUTOMATIC PREPARATION

Choose content to refresh automatically when your connection, storage and battery settings allow. Failed refreshes keep the previous good local copy instead of replacing it with a broken one.

LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN

Core use does not require a FetchAhead account or cloud service. Your captured library is stored locally and can be deleted item by item or cleared from the app.

SUPPORTED VIDEO FILES

FetchAhead can save supported public progressive MP4 and WebM files up to 64 MiB through its direct video action. It is not a streaming-site downloader and does not bypass DRM, paywalls, authentication or access controls.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

Some modern JavaScript-heavy, authenticated or streaming sites may not be fully capturable and can fall back to a limited representation. Offline availability depends on the content type and the representation FetchAhead was able to save.

Some scale and automation features are available through optional Pro access.

Prepare before the signal disappears. Keep what you need together in FetchAhead Offline Packs.
