Tap Force at its core just reminds me of your typical gotcha game but retains its own identity. I enjoyed how easy it was to navigate. It's more simplistic compared to other similar games I've played. It does take time to collect the materials you need to build your team up, but this game is very generous with gems, capsules, etc. The 90's vibe it gives off is also a plus. The only issue i really have with the game is the special events, which becomes more pay to win, but it's something I get.

I've only been playing this game for a handful of hours, but it's already my new favorite game that I've played in a long time on mobile. Absolutely. It captures that 80s and 90s arcade vibe, and the pixel fighter aesthetic, the music is fantastic. It runs really smooth on my phone, which is saying something. I have no notes. This game is fantastic.

I like the game and the artstyle, but this game is NOT F2P friendly. I've put a bit of money in and I'm getting hard stopped from progressing in any meaningful way. Can't upgrade any characters, they're at their current max. Can't progress story or sewer stages, my maxed characters get drop kicked. It's a grimy way of creating a game - no ads, so they make the game impossible after a while without spending money, and that's how they stay afloat. I'm struggling WITH money put into the game.
