Scans the image of my (Dutch) passport but subsequently doesn't read the embedded chip, which is part of the identification process. QR code works only one time, so after one try you have to request a new one. Then the same thing happened with my ID card. The app doesn't give an error message, it simply fails to read and doesn't move forward. I waited, tried moving my ID back and forth, turning it over; no luck. I had the chips in my IDs checked and they work fine. The problem is in the app.

I installed this app for ID verification, but the experience was frustrating and time-consuming. It repeatedly failed to scan my ID, asked me to avoid a white background (when there wasn’t one), and kept prompting me to move closer to the camera. I cleaned the lens and tried everything, but it didn’t work. My hands were tired from positioning the camera repeatedly. There’s no option to upload manually, only auto-capture, which is unreliable. This app needs major improvements,I don't recommend it

Sorry to read it did not work for you. May I ask what document you tried (passport of ID card, which country)? We can than try to recreate your problem in our lab.^MW

It worked the first time. The second time i tried to use it, it asks me to scan the supplied QR code, but the built in camera app fails to focus on the QR code, so the scan fails. I tried various lighting conditions, even made an enlarged photo print of the QR code, but no luck.

Sorry to read ReadID Ready is not working for you the second time. To be a 100% sure, please check if you did mean to use the ReadID Me app (does not require a QR code) contrary to ReadID Ready? Otherwise please contact the helpdesk of the service provider that requested you to use ReadID Ready since your phone and Android version should work.^MW
