Learn Italian with 9,000 real videos from native speakers, whether you are starting from nothing, or want to get better at the Italian you already have. From beginner to advanced.
Reelang looks like a normal short video feed. The difference is that it adapts to your level of Italian. You watch real TikToks, YouTube Shorts and other clips made by Italians, and we add new ones all the time.
You scroll. Reelang keeps finding Italian you can understand.
New to Italian? There is a path for that
You do not need any Italian to begin. Beginners get a guided start: short clips, slower and clearer speech, and the most common words first. Real Italian is something you follow on day one, not something you work up to.
Already speak some? Set your level and Reelang picks videos to match: basic Italian and slow, clear speech at A1 and A2, full native speed when you are ready.
If you know the term comprehensible input, that is part of the idea. The other part is the guided start, so the first weeks are not sink or swim.
Smart Subtitles show you what to learn first
Not every word is worth your time. You see whether a word is among the 500, 1,000 or 2,000 most common words in Italian, and anything rarer shows its exact rank. Tap any word and see what it means, right inside the sentence.
Use subtitles. Then hide them.
When a clip begins to feel easy, hide the subtitles and listen again. Some videos have them burned into the image, and a normal player cannot take those off the screen. Reelang can. Hide them and you are only listening, not reading.
Learn vocabulary where people actually use it
A word sticks when you hear a real person use it in a real situation. Instead of working through lists, you meet new words inside TikToks, Shorts and other native clips, slang included. Want to stay on one video longer? Open Focus: it plays a sentence with no text, asks how much you caught, then breaks it down word by word until it lands. Tap a word to keep it for review.
This is not a lesson dressed up as entertainment. It is real entertainment in Italian: funny clips, stories, street interviews, everyday life, with the learning tools around it. That is why opening the app tomorrow does not take discipline.
Living in Italy, or Italian in the family?
If you have moved to Italy, married into it, or grew up hearing Italian at home, a tourist phrasebook is not what you need. You need the Italian people actually speak, at the speed they speak it. Naples is in the feed too: every clip says where it comes from, and you can set the feed to Neapolitan if that is the Italian you want.
Getting ready for a listening exam?
CILS, CELI, PLIDA and CERT.IT all measure the same thing: understanding real Italian the first time you hear it, at natural speed. The B1 test for Italian citizenship asks for it too. Audio at that pace is what this feed already is.
Reelang+ is optional. It gives you unlimited Learner Insights that explain grammar, slang and why people say things the way they do (free accounts get a couple a day), brings your vocabulary back in new clips so the words stick, and unlocks your full Reelang Chart. You can still watch and learn without it.
Use Reelang for Italian listening practice, Italian videos, vocabulary in context and Italian immersion. It is Italian language learning for beginners through to full native speed.
