Raiz is your neighborhood's square.
Something on your mind about your street, your park, your commute? Say it, and get counted. Need a hand with a job around the house, or looking to earn a little with your skills? Put it on the board. Wondering what is happening nearby this weekend? A neighbor probably posted it.
NEIGHBORHOOD VIBE
A local feed for the blocks around you. Got something to say? Say it here. Opinions, alerts, wins, complaints. Your neighbors are listening.
SPEAK. Tap once and talk, or type it out. Raiz turns what you said into one clear statement and shows it back to you. Nothing counts until you approve it.
GET COUNTED. Your voice joins your neighborhood's record on the spot: "You're the 12th voice on pedestrian safety in Mount Pleasant this month."
HEAR YOUR NEIGHBORS. Real statements from real neighbors, each with the name behind it. Echo the ones that ring true, or add your own opinion under them.
POST WHAT'S HAPPENING. Put up an alert, share something good, or say what's on your mind, with a photo if you like. "Water main work on Sophia Street all week. Park on the far side." Neighbors nearby can warm to your post, comment on it, and share it.
FIND LOCAL EVENTS. Block parties, park yoga, a tournament at the community centre. Neighbors put events up, you browse what's coming, ask the host a question, and show up. Hosting something? Putting it up takes a minute.
THE LOCAL JOB BOARD
Small handy jobs, done by the people next door. Woodwork, repairs, odd jobs.
POST A JOB. Put up the work with the pay you're offering, like "$24/hour" to rebuild a back fence, and neighbors looking for work can find it.
PICK ONE UP. Good with your hands, or just have a free Saturday? Browse the board and take on something a few streets away.
SORT IT OUT IN CHAT. Built-in chat lets the two of you talk through the details and finalize the deal, neighbor to neighbor. Raiz handles no money and takes no cut. Pay stays between the two of you, the way it always has on your street.
HONEST ABOUT PRIVACY
Neighbors signed in to Raiz see your posts with the display name you chose, so words come with a name behind them, the way they do on your street. Anything published outside the app is anonymized: digests, statistics, and reports say "a neighbor in your area", never a name. You share a neighborhood, never a street address. Your email is only used to sign you in. The optional Verified badge checks once, on your device, that you live where you say; the result is a yes or no and your coordinates are never stored. No ads, no sale of data, no tracking pixels. Your data lives on Canadian servers.
SAFETY IS BUILT IN
Posts and events are checked as they go up, job listings are held for review first, and photos are reviewed after they are posted. Report is one tap from every post, listing, event and chat. Block a neighbor and the two of you disappear from each other across Raiz. Every Board chat opens with a note about meeting in public and keeping payment simple.
Raiz is opening neighborhood by neighborhood across 23 Vancouver local areas, from Mount Pleasant to Kitsilano to Dunbar Southlands, with more places to come.
Raiz is not a government service and does not decide what gets fixed. What it does is make sure the neighborhood's voice is recorded, counted, and heard.
Speak your mind, hear your neighbors, find local events and paid odd jobs.
