The Lee-Russell Council of Governments operates two Public Transit systems: LRPT and PEX for residents of Auburn, Opelika, Lee and Russell Counties, Alabama. LR Rides allows fast, direct booking of rides with no calls or waiting. Lee-Russell Public Transit (LRPT) offers demand response and paratransit services. These services are shared-ride, provided on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis. Both are open to the general public within LRPT service areas. The Phenix City Express (PEX) operates fixed route and ADA-compliant paratransit services for the City of Phenix City. Fixed route is open to all, but Paratransit passengers who live inside Phenix City limits need medical authorization. Get instructions for authorization by calling 877-743-3739. Paratransit rides can be booked using LR Rides with medical certification.
