The Rivian app works with your R1T and R1S to make driving and owning your Rivian simple. Use your phone as a key, manage charging sessions, tap into support and so much more:

• Accept delivery of your Rivian
• Make your phone a key to your R1T or R1S

Really a great app, especially for a car company. However there is a bug that puts your car alarm in a loop if the car needs to be woken (also too easy to accidentally trigger). Not convenient if it's late at night and you don't have your key fob nearby. Will update back to 5 stars as soon as this is fixed.

Getting better each and every update! My only deduction for a star is because swapping through multiple vehicles is terrible! You have to open the app, find the little button at the top left which sometimes you have to scroll up or down to make visible, then you have to select which vehicle you are driving, then wait for it to communicate, which can take 30 seconds... It is miserable compared to the competition. Handling multiple vehicles needs to be better, currently it sucks.

I mainly use the app so my phone can be the vehicle key, and it works pretty well for that (edit: -1 star because you can no longer add Bluetooth keys). Another big reason to use the app is to schedule service, and this is where it lost stars: -1 because there's some miserable "AI" chatbot there; -1 because it can't be bypassed; -1 because after jumping through the LLM hoops, the app just says there are no appointments available, apparently ever.

What’s new

This release brings the Rivian digital key to Gen 2 vehicles. Version 2025.46 is required.
