this app is pretty good, I do like using it. but oh my god. the lack of notifications is freaking impossible to deal with. me and my boyfriend moved over from discord, and since we're long distance we talk all the time usually only on this app. we like using servers cuz its easier to organize our thoughts and stuff, but in order to get a notification you have to reply to the other person. this does not work half the time and push notifications are becoming infrequent the longer I use the app.

Notifications are something we're actively working on improving and we know it's not good enough right now. Thank you for sticking with us while we sort it, it genuinely means a lot. If it keeps giving you trouble in the meantime, drop us a note at rootapp.com/support and we'll do our best to help!

I love how customizable the whole app has become, and how quickly the devs have worked to update it- the only really big worry I have right now is that the notifications seem to be nearly nonexistent, and it keeps logging me out. Looking good so far. There are a few functionality issues, but if you're looking for a Discord replacement, this has been the best one I've found. You can import Discord server templates, but only on the desktop version. I would love to see emoji and sticker support, voice memos, and 18+ spaces in the future. I like the app so much, I'd be willing to pay a subscription for features like profile decorations like Discord has.
