Route 66 Navigation is the only app that connects you to historic sections of Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and back. Now it offers better maps, notifies about significant sites, provides voice instructions in multiple languages worldwide, and works offline in areas with weak or no mobile signal.

Our turn-by-turn navigation app has been developed so that you can choose the right path for you – whether you are a motorcycle rider, or drive a car. We have created routes to suite your preferred travel style.

During the trip it will display not only instrutions for navigation, but the application will continue to alert you about interesting POI along the route you have chosen.

Route 66 Navigation offers two alternative routes when you are west or east bound. The main route in either direction contains the most widely known iconic parts of Route 66. The second route in eihter direction provides a path to explore and discoverers passages of the old Route 66 that existed in different periods of its operation.

The app allows you to navigate in both directions – from west to east or east to west. Route 66 Navigation app works fully when offline so thanks to our app you will be able to fully orientate yourself even in areas with limited telephone signal or mobile data coverage.

Route 66 Navigation is a free app with In-App Subscription for full navigation features. The free app allows you to view all the POI, events on Route 66, news, send your travel report or use S.O.S functionality.

Unlock the Route 66 navigation features with one-year or 7-day licence. Subscription will be charged to your credit card through your Google Play account. Our subscriptions do not support the Family Sharing feature.

Ratings and reviews

This was one of three apps I used on my Route 66 trip and the one that works the best. It gave navigation to the route and kept us on it. At points though the signs seemed to go one way and the directions another but not too often. Here are a couple of TIPS: 1) Download the maps. Not sure if it is entirely necessary but I would do it. 2) If it does not start navigation after a stop, go into your applications un settings and force stop the app.

This app is half baked at best. It's okay for mapping out the route before you take off, but it's terrible for navigation while driving when it's even able to get your location correct. Update: Navigation is useless. I'm currently sitting at Kix in Tucumcari and the app is convinced I'm somewhere in China. I've cleared the cache and all data, still the same. No, I'm not using any sort of VPN or GPS spoofer. This app is just hot garbage. Save your money and get some paper maps of the route.

A great app. It made our trip so much more enjoyable. There were some strange logics but otherwise, we were so happy we bought it. This is exactly the way to navigate through small cities and their downtowns if you don't want to use highways. The said-to be-the same option in Google maps (avoid highways) worked way worse. And we had two navigations open just in case and used this app almost 100% of the road
