Looking for a free trial?

Wear OS
BuzzKill has a companion app for Wear OS that allows you to trigger certain actions on the watch based on the rules that the phone triggers. For example you can create a rule in BuzzKill to trigger an alarm when you receive a certain notification. With the BuzzKill companion app, you can have the alarm show up on your watch too.

Accessibility Service API
BuzzKill includes an optional accessibility service that allows it automate certain actions on your device. For example you set BuzzKill to automatically tap a button in a notification. No data is collected and no data leaves the device. You do not need to enable the accessibility service unless you create a rule that uses it.

Does BuzzKill work with phone calls?
Unfortunately phone calls work very differently to notifications and they have limited support in BuzzKill. E.g. you can't set a custom vibration or sound for a phone call, but you can use the unsilence rule to temporarily allow a phone call to unsilence your rule based on the time/location/phone number that is calling.

Ratings and reviews

I love this app. I have several alarms set and they go off every time the conditionals are met. If I get a notification about a delivery, this app triggers an alarm. If I get a notification that includes "AARP" then this app triggers and blocks any notification sounds. Setting up the conditions is easy and I can choose whether alarms sound or not. When I get a new phone this will be one of the first apps I reinstall.

Consistently fails to work on a Galaxy S21 Ultra. Every background/battery/doze setting is off for the app, even opening it, allowing a notification to come in while the app is running, actions are not taken to hide it or otherwise. probably a 5% success rate in terms of notification snoozing/hiding. The app says the notifications match the filters, but doesn't properly handle them 95% of the time. I bought the app to reduce email notifications with certain keywords to help my anxiety, but nope.

Doesn't actually dismiss notifications most the time. I have a rule set that when an app shows any notification that BuzzKill will automatically dismiss it. BuzzKill will show me that it sees the notification and the filters that are set should trigger the rule, yet it never does. I have to manually dismiss it for the app. Kind of defeats having BuzzKill in the first place. If you aren't sure if this will work for you, go find a crack .apk of this app (there's plenty) and test it for a month.
