Samsung TV Remote Control turns your Android phone into a full remote for your smart TV. Put both on the same Wi-Fi network, open the app, and it finds your TV in seconds - no cable, no extra hardware, no account to create.

Everything the plastic remote has, and a few things it doesn't.


WHAT YOU GET

- Full Wi-Fi remote - power, home, source, mute, a D-pad with OK, volume and channel rockers, guide, tools, channel list and the A/B/C/D colour keys.
- Touchpad - swipe to move the pointer and tap to select, the way the Samsung smart remote works.
- Keyboard - type on your TV using your phone's keyboard. Search Netflix or YouTube without hunting for letters on screen with the D-pad.
- App shortcuts - open Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Spotify, Apple TV, Twitch, Plex, Max and Tubi straight on the TV.
- Number pad - jump straight to any channel, with guide, channel list and previous channel.
- Media controls - play, pause, stop, skip, rewind and fast forward from your pocket.
- Works without Wi-Fi too. If your phone has a built-in infrared blaster, the IR remote drives older sets that have no network control at all.
- Turn the TV on - wake a Samsung TV from standby over the network, on sets that allow it.


WORKS WITH

- Samsung smart TVs on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone, on models with network control.
- Android TV and Google TV devices, including Xiaomi, TCL, Philips, Sony and streaming boxes.
- Older Samsung TVs over infrared, on phones that have an IR blaster.


HOW TO CONNECT

1. Put your phone and your TV on the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Open the app and pick your TV from the list it finds.
3. Accept the pairing message that appears on the TV screen.
4. Done. It reconnects on its own from then on.


FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE

No ads. No banners, no full-screen ads between button presses, no paywall, no subscription and no sign-in. There is no analytics or tracking code in this app at all - it talks to your TV on your own network and to nothing else. It never asks for location, contacts, camera or storage access.


IF IT WON'T CONNECT

Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, and not a guest network that isolates devices from each other. Your TV needs to be switched on for the first pairing. Some Samsung TVs also need remote control access turned on once in their network settings.
