About this app

SATV sends apps, APK files, photos and video from your phone to your television over your own Wi-Fi. No cable, no cloud account and no dongle.

Android TV and Fire TV carry a smaller store than your phone, and many have no browser at all. SATV moves an app across your local network so you can install it on the big screen in a few taps.

INSTALL APK ON ANDROID TV AND FIRE TV
- Send any app already installed on your phone
- Send APK, APKS, XAPK and APKM files you already have
- Split APKs transfer in full. Modern apps ship as a base file plus separate parts for architecture, screen density and language, and every part is sent together
- SATV checks whether a package can run on the receiving device before the transfer starts, so a version mismatch appears on your phone instead of in front of the television
- Android's own package installer performs the install and always shows its confirmation screen

Installing apps requires Android on the receiving device. On a DLNA-only television, including many Samsung and LG sets, you can still cast photos, video and music.

ASKS FOR ALMOST NOTHING
Photos and video are chosen through Android's own picker, which hands over only the items you tap. SATV holds no gallery permission, no all-files access and no location permission.

The only runtime permission it requests is notifications, so you can follow a transfer while it runs. Decline it and every feature still works.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Files move directly from one device to the other across your own Wi-Fi. Nothing is uploaded, nothing passes through a server, there is no account to create and no tracking. With your router switched off, no transfer happens at all, because there is no middleman to route it.

NO SIZE LIMITS
A 4 GB video transfers the same way a photo does, and transfers keep running while the app is in the background.

RECEIVE AS WELL AS SEND
Any device with SATV can receive. Turn on Receive and files land in your Downloads folder. Received APK files can be opened and installed straight from the app on the television. On a TV box the receiver can start automatically at boot, so the set is ready the moment it is switched on.
