Set Top Box Remote Control turns a compatible Android phone into a fast, reliable infrared remote for your set top box. No Wi-Fi, no pairing, no account - point your phone at the box and tap.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Check that your phone has a built-in IR blaster (infrared emitter).
2. Search for your set top box brand and model in the app.
3. Tap Test and send the Power command to your box.
4. If the box responds, save the remote and start using it.
5. Point the top edge of the phone at the front sensor of the set top box.
WHY AN IR REMOTE APP
Infrared is exactly how your original remote talks to your set top box. That means no pairing screens, no network setup and no dependency on your router. If your phone has an IR blaster, it can speak the same language as the remote you lost - instantly, and offline.
REPLACING A LOST OR BROKEN REMOTE
If your set top box remote is lost, broken, water damaged or the buttons no longer respond, this app is a practical replacement remote that you already carry with you. Set it up once and your phone becomes the backup remote for the whole family.
IMPORTANT: PHONE MUST HAVE AN IR BLASTER
This app sends real infrared signals, so it only works on Android phones with a built-in IR emitter. Many models from Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Huawei, Honor and some other manufacturers include one. If your phone has no IR hardware, no app can control a set top box by infrared - please check your phone before installing.
Compatibility can vary by brand, model, region and firmware. Some boxes use command sets that are not in the database yet. Test first, and if a code does not work, try another model profile for the same brand.
TIPS FOR A BETTER SIGNAL
• Keep a clear line of sight between the phone and the box.
• Aim at the small IR window on the front of the receiver.
• Stay within a few metres, as with a normal remote.
• Remove thick phone cases that cover the top edge of the phone.
