I downloaded this app to be able to browse games and to be able to do family manager stuff instead of having to log in on a computer. This app is good for browsing games but that's it. It constantly says 'the connection to the server has timed out' every time I click on Family Manager or literally anything else under "Playstation Network". This has been an ongoing issue for at least a year for others. It is 2025. we shouldn't be having constant issues like this anymore from a big name like Sony.

I've seen a bunch of one stare reviews that are more so user error than anything.. This isnt a extention of your Playstation but another tool to communicate.. The app can be slow starting, but other than that, it's easy to use. only irritating thing is if you're trying to get your images or video recording, you have to send them to someone, then save it to another device.. that this app is more so to text, voice chat, and to see your profile.

The most useless app ever made. All I wanted to do was share my videos on X but the server keeps timing out. I could use greedy YouTube, that they seem to have a deal with, so you have to pay to get your videos onto your phone, and Playstation is garbage anymore. They mislead you into buying games twice, because the upgraded version is just the regular, plus other dlc content. Customer service is a joke, too, and now they're getting rid of that for ps4 anyway. The grift goes on.. Screw this app
