Seafile is an open source file syncing and collaboration platform for teams. It comes with Dropbox-like file syncing, but is designed to be better suited to teamwork. You can build a file sharing and syncing service for your team on your servers.
If you need a new feature or find a bug, you can summit your request to our github page at https://github.com/haiwen/seadroid. We will actively maintain and update android client.

Why can it not sync entire local files That makes this app very limited in functionality. Please make this a priority function to add. I have been following this application for awhile and on a github thread you stated in version 1.5/1.6 we would get entire folder syncing on the Android client.

Libraries are empty I'm using seafile on a private server and it was working wonderfully. But from last few days the android client is not able to list my files. It connects to server and show the libraries but when you open the libraries they are shown empty. I'm currently using samsung note 4, please solve this problem. Thanks

Pretty good Make photo backups clear. They happen in the background but without any notification so I have no idea what us going on. A photo backups status would be nice.
Camera upload works Installed it. Configured the upload with the damn nice wizard. Had to open some ports on my server and now it works well. I've had some problems with uploads failing when the phone is going to sleep, but they resume just fine.

Works well but can be further improved I'd like to see folder sync for all folder types not just photos. I'd also like the option to both mirror (like iCloud) and one way write (perpetual backup).

Probably a good app, but It won't synchronise my photos (failed). The app crashes when it tries to display a folder that contains a file (folders that contains folders are fine)

too many bugs crashes all the time. it crashed when I was syncing 200 files, and after that I had to manually select all of them again. Also, it tried uploading recently downloaded files back to the server.
Doesn't work Well, I can browse my files. Upload files? No. Backup photos? No.
Not for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 ed I love Seafile. Much better than Owncloud, It works great on my Note 5 phone, but it doesn't even want to start in my tablet. It crashesv before it can even start. UPDATE: vs 2.1.4 doesn't want to work. In downloaded 2.1.3 and is all good
Best open source dropbox Want a clean fast and secure dropbox? This is the app for you.
Kiss the big players goodbye Very reliable sync platform with 2 features putting them ahead of the herd: github like ignore file and sync individual folders (called libraries) instead of one main / root folder. Did I mention that the pricing is better than the competitions? As for the app, I have zero complaints. Two thumbs up!
The application runs fine at uploading my files to my server in the background. Whenever I try to open the app to browse my library it crashes after a few seconds making the app unusable. The only thing keeping it from one star is that it is at least still syncing my directories in the background.
Poor performance Compared to owncloud, seafile sounds very promising. However the android app is buggy and previewing images takes a long time. Also no grid view (for gallery) is available. I think owncloud solved those user experience aspects much better.
Cannot upload Cannot upload files. Get the message "No network connection"
Unusable, since it doesn't show where the files are located See title
Fantastic! Free cross platform private cloud storage that actually works!
Great sync server. Terrible app. While seafile produces an excellent free cloud-share server, and has a Windows desktop client that works well, the Android app crashes with such a high frequency that it's basically unusable. The lack of a feature to keep a whole folder in sync is also a problem, while the camera sync would be a good feature if the app didn't crash literally every time you try to browse through a folder.
Battery Drain! Give picture uploads an option to only sync when on charger. Its murdering my battery.
Great service With the recent update the app works smooth and nicely. Great job!
Great experience Works amazingly. Short reply time. Recommendations.
Amazing Does everything you could ever want and more. I probably won't use the group feature too much on my private server, but it if still there if I do.
Usefull , fast and stable It's great, I setup my server in a Linux and I've a supercloud with my own limits. The starred tool is great for quick access. The best cloud tool I've ever used so far and really I have used a lot of them.
well, the new version just crashes whenever opening a library, the previous version was fine
Promising, but still room for improvement. Nice app, handy. good Dropbox replacement. However needs an ability to create a "library" from the app.
Version 2.1.6 on Samsung Galaxy S6 (android 6.0.1) crashes every time when opening *.md file.
File storage error File synced and downloaded would disappear, which does not happen in version 1.xxx
Really getting there Not running in the background as reliably as I would have wanted, otherwise great
Pretty awesome for free. This app works great for me. This app has more features than Dropbox app from what I have used.
It's good It's a great cloud storage. Add the fact that it's free and open source and that makes it even better.
Infant android app While I think that the pc version is perfect, the android version is completely useless. You better off using the web client than this app. The web client has all the functionality one needs, that doesn't work on this android app.
Great app, and performs the actions needed mostly fine. However, I have some feat requests: -Allow pics thumbnail previews. I keep a large backup of DSLR pictures, and it's a bit tricky to need to download blindly every pic (5MB each time, on 3G) in order to see if I got the right one or keep trying. -Mobile pictures backup needs improvement. At the moment it only kicks in when the app is launched, and mostly hangs the app for several minutes while it starts the backup on the background. -PLEASE allow an option for those that want not to be prompted for the password of the encrypted libraries each time. I know it might be a security issue, but some of us might not want to type the password every time if using the app daily, so you could just set is as an opt-in switch only. Also, when transfer list is long, there's no way how much is remaining. Could you put a counter on the top of the Upload List to say how many files are left, or a progress percentage or something like that?
Does the job well. Would like to see some hosting options between the free and the 10 euro one.
Great new design One bug: long press on folder doesn't actually select that folder. Also, please add an detail view options with smaller icons! That's better for long lists.
