About this app

SeismoSense is a personal seismograph that uses your phone's accelerometer to detect ground motion at your location — and alert you, even while you sleep. No internet required.

HOW IT WORKS
Using the STA/LTA (Short-Term/Long-Term Average) algorithm from real seismology, SeismoSense continuously analyzes your phone's motion. When unusual vibration is detected, P-wave and S-wave analysis begins, and a Time-Sensitive notification wakes you up — cutting through Do Not Disturb.

IS THIS AN EARLY WARNING SYSTEM?
No — and intentionally so. Systems like ShakeAlert predict earthquakes seconds before they arrive using seismic networks. SeismoSense detects shaking at your location using your phone's own sensor. Think of it like a smoke detector: it doesn't warn you before a fire starts, but if your house is shaking while you sleep — it wakes you up.

FEATURES
• Overnight monitoring mode with Do Not Disturb bypass
• Fully offline — no internet, no servers, no data collection
• P-wave and S-wave detection and analysis
• Event history with export
• Completely free, no ads, no subscriptions
Feel the Shaking. Detect tremors even while you sleep with your phone's sensor.
